I have just watched the episode “Shot at Dawn” of Midsomer Murders on ITV3. The nude scene of Charlotte Lucas was completed deleted in that repeat showing, but, never fear: it can be seen at Pornhub.
I take it that is the actress’s real name? She did not name herself after a character in Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen?
I saw Anne Hathaway as Jane Austen in the biopic Becoming Jane in 2007! I thought much of the film, focusing on the Pride and Prejudice author’s ostensible relationship with Tom Lefroy, was unrealistic – but I enjoyed it. I even believe, to this day, that the spirit of Jane Austen was with me at that time! She must be helping me through a difficult phase of my life.
And Brenda Blethyn was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her rôle in the film Secrets and Lies (1996).
I have just watched on ITV3 the episode “Telling Tales” of Vera, a TV crime series starring Blethyn as DCI Vera Stanhope. And last week was Vera week on ITV3, with an epsisode of the series shown every weeknight.
