    The Arsenal player Henrikh Mkhitaryan was born in Yerevan, Armenia.


    A moment ago, I read about Armenian Massacres (19–20c) in the Larousse Dictionary of Twentieth Century History.


    On Monday 15 December 2008, around 200 Turkish intellectuals and academics apologized on the Internet for the ethnic cleansing of Armenians during the First World War: Turkish academics in apology to Armenians.

    Mkhitaryan scored twice for Arsenal today (the second goal deflected in off a defender) but Southampton won 3–2 at St Mary’s, ending the Gunners’ run of 22 games unbeaten in all competitions.

    22? Now, I wonder where Arsenal fans saw that same number recently … Rolling Eyes

    Kevork Malikyan is an actor who was born in Turkey but has Armenian parents. Best known for playing Maximillian Papandrious in the sitcom Mind Your Language, he has also played the character Amberiotis in the episode “One, Two, Buckle My Shoe” of Agatha Christie’s Poirot – which is being shown right now on ITV3.
