Brain cancer vaccine could give years of extra life to patients like Dame Tessa Jowell, finds trial

A potential “vaccine” for brain cancer is able to extend the lives of patients by several years and could have helped with the aggressive form of tumour that killed Dame Tessa Jowell, a trial has found.

Dame Tessa, a former Labour cabinet minister, was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme brain tumour last year and died earlier this month at the age of 70.
